Course Description & Objectives:

Our world is moving towards a digital renaissance where art and logic converge to produce revolutionary interactive experiences on a host of new devices. The Internet has changed the way we consume media and Multimedia Production is the industry where this future is created. This course is designed to train students in the design and production of multimedia resources for libraries, media centers, and information systems and other informational applications. Objectives:

To facilitate an understanding of how to create and design user-centered, instructional multimedia.
To provide hands-on experience in multimedia production, including digitization of images, sounds, animation and video, and hypertext authoring
To examine the various developmental processes required in the production of multimedia

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course students will be able to;

Design, assemble and develop a multimedia application using the necessary software and hardware
Understand the multimedia production process, including design, planning and production along with the problems frequently encountered.
Critically evaluate the applicability of media types
