Course Description & Objectives: 

This course introduces students to Fieldwork techniques, practices and report writing in Oral Literature study.  It is built on LIT 2202, a second year course that exposes students to the concepts, theory and genres of Oral Literature. Lit 3206 is an elective course offered in the third year of the BA Programme. It is advisable that the student who offers Lit 3206 should have studied and passed Lit 2202 before registering for this course. It is  a Progressive Assessment course in which the student  carries out a research project on any topic in the variously rich aspects of Oral Literature. A Project Report (dissertation) on the research undertaken is submitted for final assessment.
