This course encompasses the principles of drug absorption, disposition and response and their application in the development and use of herbal medicines.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course, the student should be able to:-
Describe the processes of drug absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion;
Describe the exposure response relationship of a drug;
Determine the bioavailability and pharmacokinetic parameters of a drug;
Explain the factors that affect the bioavailability of a drug; and,
Explain the factors that affect the pharmacokinetics of a drug.
