Course Description & Objectives: 

The philosophical and historical development of Geography as a discipline of study. Geography in the structure of  knowledge, goals, aims and objectives. Curriculum planning and Development in Geography. Geography curriculum contexts and  situations. Principles and constraints in geography syllabus constructions. Curriculum change and innovations in Geography syllabus in the 21st century.

Learning Outcomes: 
  • The students will develop critical skills in analyzing the development of Geography as a discipline of study.
  • The students will acquire knowledge and skills of constructing a geography curriculum relevant to their home region.
  • Cooperative learning and teamwork will be developed among students.
