Course Description & Objectives: 

The  course  analyzes  the  status  of  education at the  time  Uganda  attained  independence. It focuses  on the  early  development of  education, the  impact  of the  colonial  policy  on the  development of  education and finally  addresses the challenges and prospects  of the  education system in post  independent  Uganda.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Course objective:

  • To enable students to analyze how Uganda attained independence and the status of education at the time especially in the education sector.
  • To enable students assess the challenges of Post independent Uganda.
  • To enable students to evaluate the prospects of a post independent Uganda.
