Course Description & Objectives: 

Principles of International Law I introduces the basic tenets of international law to the student. It concerns the general principles governing the responsibilities of states.

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of the course the student should be able to understand the nature of international law as law; and apply the major principles of international law. The student should appreciate the place of international law in relations between states inter se and relations between other international persons; advise on adoption and application of international law in municipal law; and have skills in interpretation and application of international law.
