Many firms operate in a very competitive environment today. Procurement and logistics management have become of strategic importance to firms by helping them achieve their goals and objectives. This can only be possible when proper procurement and logistics management is understood and applied in organizations.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Objectives:

  • To give students the managerial knowledge of basic concepts and Principles of procurement and logistics management. The issues will be approached from a perspective of managing procurement and logistics to reduce cost, add value and to create competitive advantage.

 

Learning Outcomes: 

 At the end of the course the participants should be able to:

  • To manage the procurement and logistics function efficiently and effectively in their organizations
  • Apply the statutory regulations and company policy relating to procurement and logistics management for performance improvement
  • To able to develop corporate procurement and logistics management strategy in line with the corporate strategic objectives and goals.
