Course Description & Objectives: 

 An introduction to real estate valuation techniques employed in assessing the open market value of different types of property, why valuations are required and the concept of intrinsic worth. Basic concepts of investment and develop knowledge of financial mathematics, such as the use of formulae to calculate present future values, concepts of the time value of money, cash-flows and income streams. The characteristics of property investments are analyzed in comparison with alternative forms of investments.
