Course Description & Objectives: 
  • This course serves as a mastery of archivists and records managers working or intending to work in today’s business, government and non-profit environments, particularly the theoretical principles, methodologies and practical administration of records and archives programmes. 

 Objective:

  • The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the identification, selection, and planning for current technologies and systems for processing, storing, and retrieving records and archives.
Learning Outcomes: 

By the end of the course, learners should be able to: 

  • Identify records storage equipment, their uses, and advantages and disadvantages.
  • Discuss the current technological advances and their implications in archives and records management
  • Identify and discuss the legal requirements and policies that impact on electronic records and archives management
