Course Description & Objectives: 

The course examines the issues facing the understanding of gender differences and roles; religious teaching and practices of World Religions towards Gender.   The course also addresses the merits and demerits of religion on gender.  It also examines feminist/womanist movements and social change.  Further, the course seeks to explore young generations’ understanding of gender issues.  The course attempts to address two fundamental questions:  The Role of Religion and Gender in Development and the role of Gender Development in Religion.
