Course Description & Objectives: 

This course will attempt to critically evaluate the relationship between Religion and Law in Society especially in their function of bringing about justice, peace and harmony.  Besides addressing such fundamental issues such as:  the reasons for law in society i.e. both secular and religious, the foundations on which they are built, a concise historical overview of the evolution of both secular land religious laws on society especially Africans Societies.  There will be seminars and workshops where students will be challenged to elaborate an ethic of responsibility in life.
