The major aim of this course is to encourage the development of skills of conducting research studies and a rhetoric presentation suitable for report and dissertation writing. The students individually carry out research studies on biology-related topics and write a dissertation on the research project. They are guided by assigned supervisors until the completion of their research project. Topical issues are generated during the year and vetted by the biology coordination unit. The topics address issues pertaining to advancement in biology knowledge, out-reach programs and teaching of science education
