Course Description & Objectives: 

It discusses historical developments in Uganda from earliest times to independence. Historiography: The peopling of Uganda-migration, fusion and settlement, pre-colonial state formation and state relations and structure is also examined.  Traders, explorers and missionaries, integration of Uganda into British Empire, colonialism administration, foreign religions in Uganda, decolonization process and achievement of independence are discussed.
