Course Description & Objectives: 

The course targets the development of knowledge and performance skill of weight lifting discipline.  The course examines basic skills of weight lifting  and consider how best to  execute it at individual and group level.  The Rules and Regulations governing each sport discipline are also considered.

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

  1. Describe the historical background of weight lifting.
  2. Acquire basic skill of weight lifting
  3. Perform each skill at individual and group level.
  4. Describe and apply safety precautions and prevention of injuries.
