Course Description: Upon completion of this course, the student should: Have knowledge of database definition and manipulation languages; Be able to use SQL, Advanced SQL, QBE, Visual Basic to perform data search, storage and other data processing techniques on a relational database schema.Indicative Content: The course will give in-depth knowledge about the commonly used database manipulation languages. Based on a relational database schema, the course will illustrate the use of these languages in manipulating databases. Topics include: a brief introduction to relational database schemas; Database languages (SQL, Advanced SQL, Query-By-Example (QBE), Visual Basic.
