Course Description & Objectives: 

The concepts, principles, issues and techniques for managing corporate data resources of various types. Techniques for managing the design and development of large database systems including logical data models, concurrent processing, data retrieval, data distribution, and database administration.

Learning Outcomes: 

Upon completion of the course the students should be able to :

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the issues in managing database systems as an essential organizational resource. Students learn enterprise data architecture components, data storage configurations, and information retrieval methods.
  • Design, build and implement a database, exercise the database built under various conditions,  query   the   database  using  SQL  and  use  SQL  to  demonstrate

implementation problems.
