Course Description & Objectives: 

Course aims at giving students basic knowledge on and terms used in human Anatomy and Physiology, structures and functions of different body systems and an outline of common pathological conditions of the human body systems.

Learning Outcomes: 

By the end of this course, the student should be able to:

  1. Define terms commonly used in Anatomy and Physiology.
  2.   Describe the structure and function of the different body parts and their relationship to each other.
  3. Outline common pathological conditions of the human body systems.
  4. Describe the development of the different structures of the human body as well as their histological appearance.
  5.   Describe habits which promote good functioning of the body systems.
