Course Description & Objectives: 

The course will cover microscopic anatomy and histological techniques including tissue acquisition, preservation, preparation, staining and mounting of tissues on slides.  It will also cover microscopy including handling, maintaining and use of microscopes.

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of the course, the student will be able expected to demonstrate tissue preparation and its use in microscopy. The student should be able to purchase, maintain and use the different types of microscopes.
