Course Description & Objectives:

The course explores the appropriate pedagogies which teacher trainees could apply to facilitate effective teaching and learning. COURSE OBJECTIVE: The general objective of the course is to prepare teacher trainees who are able to analyse and apply various teaching methodologies appropriate to diverse educational settings.

Learning Outcomes:

Teacher trainees should be able to;

Explore the relationship between education, teaching and learning with a view to improving classroom practice.
Analyse the nature of the teaching profession in local and global contexts and reflect on their practice.
Demonstrate ability to plan, manage and execute teaching for effective learning
Analyse various teaching methods and their application to effective teaching and learning in diverse contexts
Plan and prepare for School Practice .
