Course Description & Objectives:
- The aim is of this course is to introduce students to general aspects of pathology and enable students to understand the pathologic basis of disease including an understanding of the causes and mechanisms of disease and associated alteration in structure and function.
- Students will develop skills of observation, interpretation and integration needed to analyse disease causation, mechanisms and effects.
- Students will be able to apply principles of normality, response to injury, mechanisms of injury and expression of clinical disease in evaluation of selected situations and use this knowledge in subsequent courses.
