  1. Introduction to the geography and history of agricultural activities: major agricultural regions of the world. Aerial distribution of crops on global scale, agricultural region. Uganda and E. Africa examples.
  2. Climatic influence on the characteristics of soils in Uganda. Significance of soils to agricultural systems, relevance of agro- climatology.
  3. Agricultural production in Uganda and other regions of the world.
  4. Indigenous farming systems and technologies.
