Course Description & Objectives: 
  • This course brings out the relationship between fungi, viruses and disease. 
  • The student will also be introduced to basic immunology and use of immunological principles in diagnosis, treatment, prevention and control of bacterial and parasitic infections.
Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of this course a student should be able to;

  1. Discuss fungi  and viruses as  causes of disease.
  2. Explain the role of viruses in causation of infections.
