Aspects Of Kiswahili Literature

This course introduces the students to literature. It expounds on such topics as: What is literature? Comparison between oral and written literature; The importance of literature in society; Universal elements and terminologies in literature; The three major genres of written literature namely, poetry, the novel and plays. At least one literary work each for the three genres will be studied.
