This course is designed to help students to analyze the pedagogical implications of the rapid advances in biotechnology and to integrate them into the curriculum,. It also examines the importance of biotechnology in instruction of biology in ones day lives. It exposes the learners to the potential uses of biological organisms in supporting livelihoods and contribution to national economic growth. How does biology education contribute to national economy. It also exposes graduate students to gaps in learning of different organisms and their uses as serious gaps in biology learning and technology edvancement.
