Course Description & Objectives: 

The course is designed to provide students with the ability to understand basic Business Law concepts and legal principles that guide business transactions such as; sale of goods, hire purchase, bankruptcy among other items.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Objectives or Aims: The course will help the students to achieve the following objectives:

  • Understanding the nature and sources of law,
  • Describe the structure of courts of Uganda
  • Understand legal principles governing the operation of businesses
  • Understand legal procedures of how to start, operate/manage and windup of any business venture.
Learning Outcomes: 

Students should be able to

  • describe nature and sources of law
  • Evaluate the structure of courts of Uganda

Evaluate legal principles and procedures required to operate any business venture
