Course Description & Objectives: 

Students continue with the classical and ethnic instruments they performed in the first year for mastery. Building from the performance courses covered so far, students are trained in skills of playing in a group. Students will choose chamber groups, which constitute the instruments they learned since the first year. This course is for those who are playing either classical or ethnic musical instruments. Through rehearsals and performances, students will study ensemble skills.  Every student must participate in the Departmental performances as part of course work                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Objectives: 

  • To develop skills of performing in a group
  • To strengthen the skills already acquired
  • To enhance aural and sightreading/singing skills
  • To broaden the students’ musical repertoire
