Course Description & Objectives: 
  • ·  Hospital based clinical engineering: quality control, hospital organization.
  • ·  Acquisition of equipment:  technical assessment and data analysis, inspection and test of medical instruments and systems – Inventory control:  manufacturer, model and serial number, purchase date and price, warranty.
  • ·  Preventive maintenance and inspection: prolong the useful life of equipment, reduce failure, reduce operating costs, calibration and performance assurance check
  • ·Project  management:   identifying  user  objectives  and  specifications,  testing  a  prototype, documenting project results
