Course Description & Objectives:
By the end of the course the candidate should be able to recognise and treat competently common skin disorders and venereal diseases.
- Lectures in dermato-venereology include examination of the skin, common skin disorders, bullous skin diseases, psoriasis and HIV-related skin disease.
- Other topics cover genital discharges and ulcers, syndromic management of sexually transmitted disease, as well as an overview of leprosy.
- Patients and picture slides used to demonstrate the wide range of skin diseases and STDs.
- The students are required to rotate through the skin/STD clinics for a period of 2 weeks.
