  1. Understanding of the concept of energy. Current types of energy available in the world and their classification.
  2. Renewable energy resources versus nonrenewable energy resources.
  3. Energy utilization and the environment (type of energy used, energy consumption levels, impact of energy use on the environment and man, Ozone depletion, etc).
  4. Energy conservation and preservation approaches and technologies. Energy conservation technologies for developing countries.
  5. Policies, strategies and programs for sustainable energy use and energy conservation. Global conventions on Energy use and Conservation.
  6. Energy use and conservation in Uganda (Opportunities and challenges, Laws and policies, Structures, etc)
