  1. Introduction to environmental impact assessment (EIA): The process of EIA, role of EIA in planning and management, the history of EIA. Steps in carrying out EIA: 
  2. Review (project brief), screening, scooping, collection of baseline data (Assessment), Identification of impacts and mitigation measures. 
  3. Preparation of Environmental Impact statement (EIS). Reviewing the ES. Decision making, monitoring and auditing.
