Course Description & Objectives:
By the end of the course the candidate should recognise and treat gastroenterological diseases. He should know the indication of the various endoscopic procedures and differentiation of medical and surgical management of those diseases.
- The course covers investigations and management of GIT diseases such as diarrhoeal diseases, peptic ulcer diseases and malabsorption syndromes.
- Other topics cover liver and biliary disorders, pancreatic and nutritional disorders.
- Students are exposed to endoscopic examinations and to other common tests in gastroenterology.
