Course Description & Objectives: 

 This course invites managers to critically evaluate the ways how health service management adapt to the competitive and changing health care environment and to expose various approaches on effective and efficient healthcare planning and management.  During the course participants will extend their professional acumen with methodologies for planning and evaluation, influencing and negotiation and their application in health services.  It also examines the making of health policy and the patterns of implementation, illustrating principles of policy formulation and implementation through specific service areas. 

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Better appreciate the complexities of modern healthcare management
  • Apply their learning within organizational contexts
  • Acquire enhanced understanding of the application of covered concepts and principles.
