1.      Introduction to Industrialization and the Environment.2.      Relationship between industrialization and Physical Environment (Industrial Location Theory, Evolution, Types and location of industries in E. Africa and its implications to the environment). Benefits of Industrialization to the economy.3.      Planning Industrial locations and environmental protection.4.      Relationship between population and industrial development.5.      Objectives of Industrial Planning and Implications to the Environment (Challenges of rapid industrialization on the environment: - Sub-urbanization, residential segregation, urban crowding etc).Industrial waste minimization, utilization, treatment and disposal. Industrial wastes (solid, semi-solid, liquid and gaseous).
