Course Description & Objectives: 

Built from MUS 1110, this course consolidates the skills already attained at the beginners’ level.  It introduces new repertoire of a higher level of difficulty to challenge the students a little bit more. More popular music genres are also introduced. All students are required to participate in the Departmental performances as part of the course work.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Objectives:

  • To offer skills to enable the student to play scales (major, pentatonic, blues) and chords
  • To Introduce the technique exercises for left and right hand development
  • To equip students with skills to analyze the forms of selected song repertory
