Course Description & Objectives: 

This course focuses on planning policies and regulations, fundamentals of sustainable zoning and land use regulations and planning standards.Objectives:1. Introduce planners in the making to various forms of professional institutes that they will relate with in practice.2. To expose the planners to the planning code of conduct and expectations of a practicing planner in the field of planning.3. To provide planners with techniques of relating with the outside world in the planning professional4. To equip the future planners with skills that will help them fit in the changing planning world

Learning Outcomes: 

At the conclusion of this course students will demonstrate:1. Verbal and Writing Skills – Ability to speak and write effectively on subject matter contained in the professional curriculum.2. At the end of the course the student should be able to judge what they have achieved in the course and how they will apply the professional code of conduct and ethics that guides the professional to make them better managers.
