Course Description & Objectives: 

It offers opportunities to individual students for training in an internship capacity with respected professional performing groups, approved by a departmental music committee. As a way of evaluating the skills attained with working with performing groups, student will prepare and present a performance with either the group he/she has worked with or a group of his/her own creation, and approved by the departmental music committee. The repertoire will be determined by the nature of the band the students choose as long as it is music of the popular music genre. In addition, students shall write an internship report under the direction of a teaching staff. The host band or performing group will be requested to write a guided report filled out in form of a questionnaire.                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Objectives: 

  • To offer a student to train and perform as it would be in the real life context
  • To learn to work as a team in a band
  • To practice both the technical and organizational skills learned
Learning Outcomes: 
  • Ability to work as a team in a band
