Course Description & Objectives: 

This course provides the skills to identify, measure and manage risks in purchasing function. The course makes an overview of various risks. Students learn to quantify risks and create risk response strategies to deliver projects that meet stakeholder needs. To quantify and manage risks, one needs to thoroughly analyze them before and during an activity. Course objectives;The course enables students to:

  • Identify and manage risks in the procurement and supply chain process
  • Outline the procurement and supply chain risk management process
  • Developing risk management plan from a proven model
  • Applying qualitative risk analysis process to determine probability, impact and exposure

  .  Quantifying risks accordingly.

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of the course the students should be able to;

  • Manage project risk effectively to deliver successful projects that meet stakeholder needs
  • Apply customizable, industry-robust templates to create a Risk Management Plan and Risk Register
