This course involves the execution of a project oriented toward providing experience in establishment of objectives and criteria, synthesis, analysis, construction, testing, and evaluation; development of student creativity through the solution of open-ended problems; instruction in design methodology. The student(s) undertake the project proposed in TEC4101 Research Methods, which involves addressing a significant technical problem they embark on this under the guidance of a supervisor; student are expected to demonstrate an ability to apply the disciplined approaches of the course in addressing the solution to the problem; students produce a final thesis on the work and this together with a demonstration of the working system will form the assessment
