Course Description & Objectives: 

This course introduces free and forced vibrations of structural forms, with introduction to earthquake engineering.  The course also covers analysis and design of structures subjected to dynamic loads by analytic numerical methods as well as use of computer programs in their solution.                                                                                                                                                                                                 Objectives:

  • To enable the student solve structural systems subjected to dynamic loads, with emphasis to earthquake loading.
  • To tutor the student in the use of computer programs to solve structural systems subjected to dynamic loadings

 

Learning Outcomes: 

On completing the course the student should be able to:
