Social Ecology of Child abuse and Neglect

Course is concerned with physical emotional and sexual abuse of children child neglect and exploitation. Provides students with a historical and theoretical framework for to understand the ecological context of child abuse and neglect in our society. The course begins with the societal values that shape current child welfare policy, social worker’s roles, expectations and resources for working with child abuse and neglect will be discussed.
