Course Description & Objectives:
- Physiological anatomy of the renal, GIT, respiratory and cardiovascular system; Functions of the heart and blood vessels; ECG and CVS dysfunction.
- Mechanism of respiration in the lungs and at tissue level; respiratory failure; cardio-respiratory changes during exercise; assessing cardio-respiratory systems. Renal functions, acid-base balance, acute and chronic renal failure.
- Gastro-intestinal Physiology(GIT)
- Functions of the gastro-intestinal tract; hormones of the GIT; functions of the liver and GIT function. Balanced diet and cellular utilization of micronutrients.
