Course Description & Objectives:
- Advanced skills in determining the differential diagnoses from all available information (history, examination, and investigations).
- This includes syndromes in clinical medicine, improved understanding of medical conditions with their tendencies to multi-system presentation and a general understanding of world-wide disease epidemiology.
- Students should be well versed with management of emergencies uncommon in our environment like myocardial infarction, understanding advanced procedures like central venous lines, Swan Ganz catheterisation, hemo and peritoneal analysis.
- Students are expected to teach senior clerks the principles and practice of clinical medicine, planning examinations and have a general insight in the clinical aspects of management in a hospital setting.
