Course Description & Objectives: 

The course introduces the general requirements of materials for both intra-oral and dental laboratory use.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Objectives:

  •  Enable the student develop a thorough knowledge of the basic principles underlying materials technology, including the properties, processing and manipulation of dental materials.
  •   The student should acquire skills in current basic laboratory practices and performances

 

Learning Outcomes: 

By the end of the course students should be able to:

  • Describe the suitability of materials with regard to their use in oral and laboratory environments
