  1. Radiology and imaging of the ENT, Head and Neck and (upper) aerodigestive regions.  Immunology in ENT practice.
  2. Immunopotentiation and suppression. 
  3. Microbiology of the ear, nose and throat,
  4. Disinfection, sterilization, asepsis and hospital infection control. 
  5. Fluid therapy and blood transfusion. 
  6. Radiotherapy in ENT, Head and Neck Surgical practice. 
  7. Cancer chemotherapy in ENT Head and Neck Surgery. 
  8. Use of lasers in ENT surgery. 
  9. Physiology and mechanisms of normal and abnormal wound healing and healing of specialised tissues. 
  10. Principles of head and neck plastic and reconstructive surgery and
  11. Head and neck flaps. 
  12. Sutures, implants and other biomaterials in ENT practice. 
  13. Anaesthesia resuscitation and intensive care and monitoring in ENT practice. 
  14. Pain management
  15. Palliative care and management of terminal illness in ENT Head and Neck surgery
Learning Outcomes: 

By the end of this course students should have a deeper understanding of:
