The course provides students with knowledge and skills in identifying and managing forest plantations for biodiversity conservation. ObjectivesThe aim of the course is to equip students with knowledge and skills that will enable them to:·              Characterize components of plantations and understand the ecology and functioning of plantations.·              Apply standard field techniques to assess biodiversity in plantations.·              Relate biodiversity conservation  in plantations to socio-economic benefits from plantations
