Course Description & Objectives: 

Students shall rotate through the department of Psychiatry either at Butabika or Mulago Hospital.

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of the rotation the student will be able to-          recognise the  commonest mental health problems in the community-          Classify the various mental health conditions as per DSM, Primary care classification and ICD 10 classification.-          Applying mental status tests, aptitude tests, Intelligence quotient tests,-          Treat the simple mental health conditions and-          Appropriate referral procedures to ensure continuity of care and optimal information sharing, and to enhance patient compliance.
