This course introduces students to the pathogenesis, pathology, clinical features and epidemiology of digestive, nutritional and metabolic disorders. It also enables them to understand the clinical pharmacology of the drugs used in treating these disorders and finally the role of the respective investigative procedures.
By the end of this course students are expected to have been exposed to and appreciated the pathology and epidemiology of the digestive, nutritional and metabolic disorders, the clinical pharmacology of the drugs used to treat them and the common investigative procedures used for their diagnosis.
