Course Description & Objectives: 

In this course, the students will learn the principles and methods of epidemiology and biostatistics. They will also acquire knowledge and skills that will enable them to design, conduct and disseminate health research.This is a pre-requisite course for Research Proposal Development.

Learning Outcomes: 

By the end of the course the student should be able to:

  1. Describe and apply principles and methods of epidemiology.
  2. Describe and apply principles and methods of biostatistics.
  3. Design a research proposal according to Makerere University guidelines.
