Course Description & Objectives: 

This course will expose students to basic economic concepts and principles and their effects on health care and the health care delivery system. Students will learn about the production of health, equitable distribution of health care and determinants of health care utilization.  

Learning Outcomes: 

By the end of this course, the students should be able to:

  1. Describe the basic economic concepts and principles as applied to health and health care
  2. Demonstrate competency in the application of economic concepts and methods to the health
