Course Description & Objectives: 

In this course, students will learn about the interaction between social science and health. They will acquire an in-depth understanding of behavioural and social learning models and the influence of culture, gender and other social factors on health. Students will also acquire skills in qualitative research methods. 

Learning Outcomes: 

By the end of this course, the student should be able to:

  1. Describe the relationship between social science and health
  2. Demonstrate competency in conducting, analyzing and critically appraising qualitative research
